Marie returns to the Royal Swedish Opera for a new ballet production
In October Marie returns to the Royal Swedish Opera for a new ballet production. She will conduct ten performances of Robbins/Balanchine’s The Concert and Theme and Variations, music by Chopin and Tchaikovsky. Read more here:

Marie was awarded the Orchestra Prize as the best conductor by Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz.
Last week Marie took part in an international masterclass in Radolfzell with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz and Prof. Johannes Schlaefli, conducting music by Brahms, Stravinsky, Schubert and Debussy. At the end of the week the musicians in the orchestra got to vote for the best conductor and after the final concert Marie was awarded the Orchestra Prize.
Marie has become Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship Associate Fellow for the 2022-24 seasons.
Out of 140 applicants from all over the world, Marie has been chosen as Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship Associate Fellow for the 2022-24 seasons. Marie says: ”I’m so grateful and happy to be accepted into this brilliant, strong and warm-hearted community. To have legendary Marin Alsop and her team mentoring me, believing in me and supporting my career means so much to me! The Fellowship officially begins in June, but they already have a lot of opportunities planned for me. I’m so excited, happy and curious to start this new chapter in my life and career!”

Marie has been selected for the LEAD! Foundation Academy
Out of nearly 80 applicants from all over the world, Marie has been selected by Jukka-Pekka Saraste for the LEAD! Foundation Academy’s masterclass for young conductors in Fiskars this summer. She will be mentored by Hannu Lintu, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Saraste himself.

Marie Rosenmir musical director for God in Disguise at Folkoperan in Stockholm
Folkoperan’s spring production will be Lars-Erik Larsson’s lyrical suite God in Disguise from 1940 with words by the poet Hjalmar Gullberg. Lill Lindfors, Björn Kjellman and Petter Alexis Askergren will alternate in reciting Hjalmar Gullberg’s poetry. The production will also feature poor Roma EU citizens including the virtuoso Lelo Nikas whose accordion art will interpret Lars-Erik Larsson’s much loved music. Musical director and conductor is Marie Rosenmir. God in Disguise will open at Folkoperan on 15 February 2017. Marie Rosenmir has been ranked in the latest issue of OPUS as one of the most important 20 musical happenings in the country during 2016. OPUS, Sweden’s largest magazine for classical music, defines Marie Rosenmir as being one of the most interesting Swedish conductors of the new generation.
